Who is Simplex?
Simplex is a JA mini company made up of six students from St. Aloysius College, committed to creating sustainable, thoughtful solutions that simplify everyday challenges. With sustainability and care at our core, we strive to empower individuals and make a positive impact on the planet.
Our current main product is the Pill Popper which was developed and manufactured entirely by the Simplex team.

The Story behind the Pill Popper
"We saw our nanna struggle to open her pills and decided to invent something to help her and people with mobility issues perform this basic function".
When Kyle and Miguel from the Simplex team saw their grandmother struggling to open her pills they decided to do something about it. Using the JA competition as a catalyst they began the process of designing the Pill Popper and bringing it to life through the efforts of the team. Following a process of trial and error the final version of the PIll Popper was ready to be marketed and hopefully help as many people as possible with mobility issues!

Social Corporate Responsibility
We believe that every business has a social responsibility to help people in need. At Simplex we will be donating a percentage of sales to charity.
We have also teamed up with Step Up for Parkinsons, a charity dedicated to helping people in Malta with Parkinsons live a better life, to help us develop the Pill Popper through worskshops and practical feedback. A fdontation to this great charity will be made at the end of the project.

We offer the opportunity to buy a Pill Popper and donate it to charity. All sponsored units will be donated to various charities that work with people with mobility issues.

Why is the product Special?
Design: Our pill poppers are designed to simplify the process of opening blister packs for the elderly, those with dexterity issues and other illnesses such as parkinsons. Its wellness tool that increases ease and time efficiency.
Sustainable Materials: We use wood cut-offs provided by our sponsors Domestica Limited and St. Michael's Foundation to repurpose into eco-friendly and biodegradable pill-poppers.
Affordable: Only €7.99 per unit.
Unique: It's one of the few wooden pill poppers in the world and the only one in Malta.
